Press Release
Hello friends!
This is Amy Costello, Good City’s founder and long term dreamer-of-dreams. Today I’m bringing you a special announcement! As of August 31st, 2019, Good City will officially be owned and managed by Mr. Chris Proctor instead of myself. Chris has been here since the school was founded, working in the background, and he’s proven himself to be a competent business man and a fellow dream-dreamer.
It may come as a surprise to many that I’ve chosen to sell the school after so little time at the helm. I still love the school wholeheartedly, believe that it fills a real need and have complete faith in its ability to serve the people in this community. However, during the last 6 months, I’ve come to realize that I’m much more interested in spending my time as a maker than as an executive and administrator.
Chris, on the other hand, has the long-term interest and drive to be the administrator the school will need to survive. If you’d like to learn more about Chris and his community-building ventures, check out the recent bonus episode of the Teach With Your Hands podcast, which is an interview with Chris from May of this year.
I plan on continuing to produce the Teach With Your Hands show, and I’ll continue to be involved with the school on a less official basis. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at goodcitycraft@gmail.com
I look forward to seeing where Chris will take the business moving forward.
